Description
The Smart-Health-4-All project aims to stimulate an ecosystem dedicated to research and development (including clinical and translational research), production, marketing and dissemination of medical technologies in Portugal (including medical devices and digital health solutions ), based on information, communication and electronic technologies, and on emerging and future technologies. The project crosses different areas of knowledge, such as health sciences and engineering, as well as crosses high-tech sectors (eg TICE, nanotechnologies) with other traditional sayings (textiles, footwear, plastics and furniture), both productive and services. The project extends from the production of knowledge to the widespread dissemination of the solutions developed, applicable both in the context of the formal provision of health care and in the day-to-day life of a vast universe of users / patients, with special focus on areas socially and economically impacting in the context of the global health market. From a medical / clinical point of view, the focus is on prevention, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment / rehabilitation of diseases and other medical conditions, especially chronic and / or aging related diseases (including oncological, neurological, cardiovascular and diabetes). SMART-HEALTH-4-ALL is structured in 4 PPS of research and development of products and associated services, covering different areas of medical technologies, 1 PPS “integrator” of other R & D PPS, dedicated to the definition and implementation (s) for eHealth and AAL products / services, with cohorts (s) of end-users and in the real environment, as well as issues related to market access (procurement and health technology assessment), and 1 PPS Project Management and Dissemination of results.
