TheRoute project aims to conduct studies, research and experimentation around the challenge of automatic generation of routes for tourists and visitors of points of interest related with Tourism and Heritage considering the deep knowledge from the fields of routes, visitor’s profile and context awareness. The project will have a broad and diverse set of PhD researchers. Apart from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto who coordinates the project, there will be the participation of the Institute of Engineering of Porto, the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, and Douro Azul. . Stakeholders like Associations and Enterprises for Tourism and Heritage will be invited to have open access to the results of TheRoute.
